McCains history of hot temper raises concerns »
Posted By Wil 2 months, 2 weeks ago in NewsJohn McCain made a quick stop at the Capitol one day last spring to sit in on Senate negotiations on the big immigration bill, and John Cornyn was not pleased.
Cornyn, a mild-mannered Texas Republican, saw a loophole in the bill that he thought would allow felons to pursue a path to citizenship.
McCain called Cornyn's claim "chicken-s---," according to people familiar with the meeting, and charged that the Texan was looking for an excuse to scuttle the bill. Cornyn grimly told McCain he had a lot of nerve to suddenly show up and inject himself into the sensitive negotiations.
"F--- you," McCain told Cornyn, in front of about 40 witnesses.
It was another instance of the Republican presidential candidate losing his temper, another instance where, as POW-MIA activist Carol Hrdlicka put it, "It's his way or no way."

Much ado about nothing. Many people have quick tempers. The good thing about them is they blow off some steam and quickly are back to normal.

Then there are those who to the outside world don't have a temper but get vicious later and attack people off guard more privately with devastating effect. Which would you rather have mad at you??
Me I prefer the out in the open anger that goes away quickly.-

There is no time for "out in the open" anger when you are dealing with RUSSIA and Puten!

Educated, intelligent people do not resort to temper tantrums. They can communicate frustrations in a much more dignified manner. I am not surprised that John McCain must throw fits of anger and spew profanities.

Yeh, but McCain is 72 and he's not going to change.

His brain is stuck on helping the wealthy. He has no understanding of economics and will be a stubborn a$$ like Bush. Bush destroyed our reputation, economy, laws, ethics, and tanked the economy. If you listen to Fox news (Rupert Murdoch) the "weather is fine, now back to you stupid voters."

look: obamaisnogood. you are obviously an ignoramous. first of all: MCCAIN. not mccane. i mean seriously. second of all I highly recommend a grammar and/or english class of some sort because your writing is absolutely atrocious. and third (and most importantly) when attempting to argue a point, please try to bring some sort of logical and relevant argument to the table. simply arguing that "everyone else does it so he should be able to as well" is complete hogwash and, unfortunately for you, a circular argument. MCCAIN is supposed to be a representative of the people of the United States, and therefore will (for better or worse) be held to a higher moral standard than most citizens.

Doesn't it seem strange, since McCain called the little kid a jerk early in the campaign, that we've seen little, if anything ,of his famous temper? Not only that ,he appears to be constantly in la la land. Does this tell you something? It didn't take me 35 years in health care to realize what's going on. Just what we need in the highest office in the land!

“We need someone who'd take a step back, think things through, then make the right decision without emotions clouding your judgement.”
If you need someone who can make a decision why would you support Barrack “present” Obama?
“I don't think McBush can but I do think Obama can. He's proved that many times during the campaign”.
“I do think Obama can”
Can you give some examples (3) that support your claim?
“Doesn't it seem strange, since McCain called the little kid a jerk early in the campaign, that we've seen little, if anything ,of his famous temper?”
Did it ever occur to you the “famous temper” claim is trump up?
Good news!
Gallop pole
McCain 48 Obama 44 among registered voters
McCain 54 Obama 44 among likely voters
Olbermann FIRED
Matthews FIRED
MSNBC OFFICIAL stated reason is they were way to bias FOR Obama.

Rumor control
Daily Kos, MSNBC, Newsweek behind Palin smear campaign
GOOD JOB!-

The Media is getting "FED UP WITH PALIN". Hard to control your bias when you see someone like that Republican hurting the campaign. Yes. I said it...hurting the Republican Campaign. I have no doubt that Obama will take the Presidency in Electoral votes. Say and think what yo will about poll results, people don't tell it like it is all the time....when you get in that poling booth, the decision to vote for your choice is between you and your conscience. My conscience tells me I could not sleep at night if I voted Republican and I AM A REGISTERED REPUBLICAN. NOT this year!

I have reserach and had read info that McCain's hot temper was due to after effects of capture and torture. Okayyyy I have also read that he forgave his captors..and have seen a pic of him hugging one..(isn't that guy a war criminal) I honestly do not think that I could forgive someone who tortured me for over 5 years..could you? My dad was in USMC for 23 years ..being wounded at Guadacanal and in Korean war, He had issues due that trauma.. I am respectful of what McCain went through, but I cant help but think that there are residual issues..that are too pressing to be in a President.

At least McCain shows compassion and loyalty for his country. He actually has witnessed war, first hand. I mean, Obama cannot even place his hand on his heart when the Star Spangle Banner is being sang, which if he had America’s best interest at heart, don't you think he would get off his high horse, "sure I don't look like all the other presidents on the currency", says Obama...there he goes again, throwing the Race card. Isn’t that how the African Americans, no excuse me, Mailto Americans do it...throw the race card to try and get their way, pathetic..

have you ever bothered to find the list that shows the seated members of congress and the administration and their service to country? the republican list shows 95% "didn't serve" and the democrat list shows roughly 90% served in some capacity. all those who "didn't serve" are preaching to us about patriotism. what hypocracy! and look how they've slandered and ruined the reputations of democrats who DID serve - with honor - and even win elections successfully selling those lies. i myself didn't serve, but would NEVER, EVER denigrate one who has. what arrogance! and please stop putting so much importance on who salutes the flag or wears a pin. all these miscreants who have literally destroyed America as we once knew it all salute the flag and wear pins and speak from podiums festooned with flags. to me that just cheapens what the flag and our country mean to me. call me what you will, but i think mccain backers are pathetic, pure and simple.

There is no valid reason to vote McCain/Palin unless you: 1)Don't believe in Civil Rights. 2)Don't believe in Privacy. 3)Don't like Gay people. 4)Believe killing untold thousands of innocent people in another country is a good thing. - well... at least it's them and not us! 5)Believe sending our service men and women into harm's way for a lie somehow makes us safer. 6)Don't believe conservation of our natural resources is important for our survival as a species. 7)Think it's OK to lie, cheat and steal so long as it means getting your way...

I could go on and on, but the die-hard Republicans who have been brainwashed to believe all the above would just deny all the above while adding "Yeah, well... look what Clinton did to America." So... if you really DON'T care about your country and where it has already arrived due to the current administration's policies then by all means vote McCain/Palin. I don't know where you grew up or where you learned right from wrong, but my Christian parents in central California taught me not to judge others and to be color blind. The Republican party has been hijacked by a mob of greedy, selfish misfits who think only of themselves - never imagining themselves in another's shoes and wondering why everyone doesn't want to be like them. True Conservatives would NEVER subscribe to the policies of this administration or today's GOP. By the way, I'm not a Democrat either. I am a "Liberal" (Google definition of liberal) Independent who wishes there were more open-minded people walking this Earth with me. Liberals are considered "tolerant" though in all honesty, I admit to complete "intolerance" of stupidity and stubbornness. Ignorance can be remedied with education and a little homework and open-mindedness. Stupidity and stubbornness are what have landed us where we are today. Obama isn't/wasn't my first choice but compared to McCain, I see him as our only hope to even try to overcome our current situation. Now... let the hate mail begin... -

How does seeing combat== actually seeing clouds till he got shot down = qualify one to be president? What exactly does give one experience to be president? I say nothing. Governor, Senator, Dogcatcher. None of those jobs can make or break a country, cause multiple life and death disasters if the wrong decidison is made, cause the economy to go in the tank by continued wrong decisions. McCain is no more qulified than Obama or Biden and I won't even dignify this discussion mentioning Miss Moosejaw, liar extraordinaire. So when it comes down to who to pick I want the man who is consistently cool under pressure, is able to ignore the petty details and insults and has a vision for the future and not an obsesion with the past. Things don't work that way anymore. We are not an 809 pound gorilla who gets to stomp around and ignore the niceities of diplomacy and while giving orders. We could still be a great country, but we aren't now and McCain isn't going to change that. I don't even know if Obama can - he needs money to spend to implement his programs but thanks to Bush and his screw-em attitude for whoever came after him, the next president has to get us out of his personal war, try and shore up an economy that may not be shoreable before he can do anything. Either way, I want Obama who is intelligent, cool, and seems well-adjusted and able to take whatever comes at him. McCain can't even get through a few softball questions without losing it. And Palin and her attack dog crap -- she brings up stuff that's old and disproven, and she better look in her own backyard before she starts acting all Christian and superior to Obama. She sounds like a dunce compared to him. As fresnodanny said better than I, one of the main problems with the leaders of this country -- and so many citizens - is we never try to look at a situation through the other partys eyes. God forbid a 67 yr old black man might not be gungho America-- he's probably only lived through lynchings, fighting wars and coming home to slurs and no jobs, separate but equal, 'sorry, that job was just filled' or 'sorry that house was just sold' for 40 years. Obama knows both sides of the coin and he isn't going to let the powerful become even more powerful. And I don't give a rats as how many ex radicals or Chicago politicians he knows. (Which, by the way being a Hyde Park Liberal, I sincerely doubt any Democratic machine member would give him the time of day -- but believe what you want. You're all so full of hate it's pathetic.) Hey for once, I can say this. You don't like the way things are around here-- -plenty of white run police states in the world, move to one.

Everyone sits and complains about McCanes temper. Did you ever think what Obama would be like when he sat ans listened to Rev. Wright for 20 years. That man has a bad temper and slams white people and Americans. So you want to down McCane for saying chickens*** and f***you.Sorry no difference than alot of people in this Country. You people really crack me up. You get mad and say things like that and it is ok?

McCain did better this debate, but he's such a jerk, his antics took from it. He's such a liar, and number of times Obama had to correct him distracted from his offering. And what was with the raising of the eyebrow thing, he looked so stupid doing that repeatedly. He still came across as a cynical, grumpy old FART, who has a difficult personality. Obama was cool, calm and collected..and just looked and sounded and behaved more presidential. Vote the intelligent choice, vote OBAMA!
