This was not a good choice for VP. A much stronger choice would have been Colin Powell or Condi Rice. Then the race card could not have been played by either side. This governor adds nothing to an already weak (at best) ticket. If this is an example of McCains judgement, Lord help us!

Palin's resume is thicker than Obama's!
She has the experience of running government than Obama wishes he could have!-

Yeah, those city council and mayoral jobs really set you up to run the country. Come on.

If Senator Obama had her resume you'd be all over him about it. At least be true to your convictions. If Senator Obama doesn't have enough experience to lead, neither does she. Personally, I think he does, but I know you don't.-

Obamatards don't like the truth? Of course not. They are running a a guy who has a good friend/business associate that is going to be sentenced a week before the election and a guy who has praised the opponent and blasted their standard bearer. And their opponents? Two maverick reformers. lol

Hey, at least we're not running a guy who left his crippled wife to run off with a beer baron's daughter.

Of course, it's also well known that Senator McCain is an adulterer and a womanizer. Is it any wonder that he picked a former Miss Alaska as his running mate? Maybe mate? Hmmm, Cindy is starting to look her age a bit.-

Do you have any evidence that he has been unfaithful to Cindy? And no, you cannot count the "lobbyist chick", that has been debunked. It is rude and shallow for you to engage in this kind of attack on Sarah Palin, given your stance on the discussions regarding Barack and Michelle. Read the comments in this thread, the sexism, the misogyny, the bigotry. Do you really want to be counted among those comments? You are a better debator than that.

Many, many campaigns trips all over the country together
McCain tried to interfere with the FCC to illegally and unethically force them to rule in Iseman`s employer`s favor
We spent $50M and six years on an investigation of Clinton of a fraction of this evidence.
Speaking of Clinton, his wife forgave him years ago, but that never stopped you cons from attacking him over his adultery, and Bill didn`t throw his wife under the bus!-

....and don't foget the beer baron's daughter claims she's an only child, but really has a half-sister from her philandering father's first marriage. Hensley did the same thing McCain did, then went on to make the beer fortune. After that he gave some support to the first wife and daughter until he died. Then Cindy cut off the credit card as soon as daddy had breathed his last. Yeah,. we want her for First Lady.

Check out her position on "Bridge to nowhere"...she already flip-flopped in her first speech. No wonder McCain picked her...she's just like him, only I don't think she owns $500 Prada loafers and 7 homes....I think he just likes beauty Queens....his wife was one too! That should provide additional insight to his motives...

As a nurse practitioner, I can tell you "cancer survivor" with the kind of cancer McCain had, is a misnomer. He had malignant melanoma, note the word malignant. It is NOT cured and cannot be. These cells come back when you have had 3 episodes in 7 years as he has. I hope it does not for his sake but the person he picked for VEEP COULD not run the country. I could do it better. Also, a "pro life", also a misnomer since most of the folks I know who are prochoice, are pro life, meaning they are for living and having children who are planned and wanted and loved. All pro choices are "pro life" but pro lifers are against free choice. anyway, this would set women back years and they'd have to go to back alleys again to get abortions. I hope and pray Barack gets elected tho I initially wanted Hillary.

Dubya goes AWOL during war, does drugs, parties, DUI, multiple counts of insider trading, you name it. You or I would have been in jail multiple times.
McCain does Keating Five, steals land from Navajoh for crony profits, and does all that to his wives. You or I would have been in jail or at least any chance of a political career would have been flushed.
Cindy steals a husband, steals money from a charity, illegally forges prescriptions, abuses over the counter drugs, plagiarizes recipes for profit, and so on. You or I would have been in jail or at least been remove from any type of `proper` society.
What do these clowns have in common?-

All smear. Do you realize that the other four people involved in the Keating Five were Democrats? Do you realize that McCain was cleared in it becase he walked away from it after two meetings. Do you realize that when you search on the web for information, that you can actually inadvertantly choose a biased search result? Do you realized that there are also non- biased results out there? Usually, an intelligent person would read 2, maybe three differing reports to eliminate such bias. But you're not, you're just putting biased innuendo on here out of your own convenience based on the same principles that you would pick a presidential candidate, blind to the facts.

Jose - Do you know how remarkable it is to stay clean in the face of all those crooks...you think you make a point for your side by pointing out how Obama knew all these bad people, what you don't realize is that a thinking person sees a man that swam with the sharks, and was not eaten by them. He doesn't have a corrupt bone in his body. As for him voting present in ILL, According to the Ill state laws present is the same as NO. People keep saying things and repeating lies as if it's true about this guy. I saw this piece of information On FOX of all places! Obama will be our next president and it's all because McCain made the wrong choice!

Funny, I keep hearing things from the left that Obama never said this an Obama never said that. Yet on half the stuff like this one I 've heard it right out of his own mouth. Then those on the left always want a LInk which I have done on several occasion then they come back and neg you anyway. for telling the truth. Example Obama said he never heard Rev Wright give a hate speech, then after he was caught in the lie he admitted that he had...the list goes on and on. Obamanoids close their ears to the truth!

Either yesterday or this morning (I'm not sure which), on Scarborough Country, they showed a clip of Obama stating that he warned everyone about leaving Afghanistan in favor of Iraq and that he voted against funding it.

Seems to me that happened while he was still in the Illinois legislature-- but maybe it came up for a vote there.-

As I recall he gave a speech on it and held a rally. Thus, he warned "everyone". I really hope you don't hold him to the "everyone" part of that because that's really impossible. He did about all he could; he held a political rally against the event. As I recall it was rather large. I really don't remember much about it, but I gleen this mainly from links others have posted (including transcripts of the speech he gave at the rally and even some video footage, I think).

I would say running a National presidential campaign as effectively and smartly as he did shows he knows how to lead a team effectively, and manage a huge budget as well. Hillary, while she had an amaing campaign, ran up the debt to hang in there as long as she could...not wise, but oh well. Palin: Mayor of a small town of 6,500 just two years ago...that would equate to just 1/3 of one district Obama represented in the Illinois Senate.

Sure it is, when bound up with 8 years experience in the legislature of Chicago, absolutely flawless records in education, hands on experience with the REAL problems faced by Americans, & let's not forget his ability to understand the document he will be taking an oath to; you know, that 'piece of paper'?

1.5 years experience running a state that is flush with money thanks to oil and is completely run by the Republican mafia is a world different than the WH and running a country that is dangerously deep in debt thanks to George Bush and the Republicans.
Reply
If a Republican is elected, nothing will get done, nothing will change. The Democrats will own Congress and McCain has lost all respect among Dems and Moderates and many Republicans. Even if he gets in, it will be gridlock city.

Jose _ do you really think that Mrs. Palin is more ready to run the country than the people you mention? Now i know all this euphoria is just a bunch of people trying to convince themselves that she is the correct pick...the fact that she is being investigated for ordering the firing of a state trooper will remind everyone of the firing of the AD under bush. How long do you think it will take the country to make those connection...having your husband a fisherman calling governmental officials to get your ex - husband fired does not a good moral standard make. Keep trying to convince yourself this was a good call, like you did with Bush, we on the left will take that any day! McCain dropped the ball if he were going with a woman it should have been Rice that would have guaranteed him the win. Not because of race but because she is liked by both sides!
Reply
I watch her speech and this was a gaff, at best she will invigorate the republican base but I don't think she will bring a shift of women to the party!
