  I haven't seen ANY of them!
  No one invited me on any movie dates I guess :(
  Saw lots of great "old" stuff on video though, including "In Cold Blood".

I haven't seen any of these movies so I can't judge them, but I did watch "The Ox-Bow Incident" on TCM yesterday afternoon and it's still a great movie.

    I think the scene of the posse sitting around the campfire when the condemned men were given a short reprieve. The posse pilfered some beef from the alledged rustlers/murderers saddle bags and proceeded to have a cookout, laughing and carrying on while the three condemned men pondered their fate. That scene was pretty chilling. Another scene that I liked was when the vote was taken and one by one some of the posse voted to take the accused men back to stand trial. To me that just highlighted the courage of the individual to stand up to "popular" opinion, something that seems to have been lacking in the media for the past seven years.

  You're right, this movie is still compelling. It's hard to believe that it didn't do much when released. Fox lost money on it.

    The original novel, by Walter van Tilburn Clark, from which the film is adapted, is a great piece of American literature, IMO.
