Sept. 29, 2006, 3:50 p.m.No, I wont be paying to see it, but: The radical element runs trash like this, and we wonder why we have cop killings in Florida, Texas, Colorado, School killings in Colorado and Wisconsin, and a general environment of hatred and killing.
Its way past time for our country to move "BACK" towards civilized behaviour, and tell hollywood we do have some minimum standards of morals. Nothing was wrong with the oldtime debates between Douglas and Dirksen, or Nixon and Kennedy when they actually talked about their plans, hopes, dreams, and programs.
The turn towards negative politics, and negative TV and Movies, and sensationalism in the socalled News is leading us to a very hostile society. Anyone really think that is good? Its way past time we start voting on the trash with our dollars and feet. We do not need any more works by the Michael Moore mentality, or political advise from hollywood from either end of the spectrum. Just Vote NO.

Sept. 29, 2006, 6:07 p.m.Lennygrt, your an idiot to believe that this sort of thing is detrimental to "society" as a whole. School killings, and Cop killings have absolutely nothing to do with music, tv, movies, or any of these things usually blamed for crimes. Those atrocities are attributed WHOLLY to people with compromised judgement and morals. I will agree that the tone of this and other media sensationalism is one of an extremily negative nature (in some respects), but I do not see how you connect the dots between these things and Murder? You obviously disagree with the projected viewpoints in this "faux-documentary" and other liberal media, so I can make the assumption that your whole point is biased in favor of an anti-liberal point of view, so to me and hopefully everyone else, this invalidates your comments because you are no better for spreading the fear and hate.

Sept. 29, 2006, 7:28 p.m.Well at least we could make it interesting and send the village idiot on vacation the the great barrier reef and surround him with stingrays. I can just imagine the outcome. JOY!!!!!!

Sept. 29, 2006, 7:28 p.m.Even though Bush has made mistakes I would never wish death upon him. Talk about controversial, this movie might incite some mental to actually try this.

Sept. 29, 2006, 8:04 p.m.Another pleasant movie from those morally superior, tolerant lefties. Does Micheal Moore make a cameo?

Sept. 29, 2006, 8:50 p.m.as an independent american I find this extremely f u c k e d up and think the this film should be banned from being shown and its producer confined for stupidity.

Sept. 29, 2006, 9:09 p.m.I am a liberal and I don't support this. This is a disgrace. These film makers have no social sense. I am concerned that some unstable individual might copy cat the ideas in this film. This film should be protested against by all Americans.

Sept. 29, 2006, 9:24 p.m.I'm a Demacrat and I can tell you I won't be spending my money on this film. I don't think this kind of thing is good for the country, this kind of thing also just serves to make us Demacrats look bad. Toss it in the heap with the recent films exploiting 9-11.
Best way to get rid of this kind ot thing is don't go see it.

Sept. 30, 2006, 12:13 a.m.Can you imagine if this movie was about the Prophet Muhammed? Them Muslims would be screaming in the streets, burning down Christian churches and killing nuns all over the place!! So basically the movie would never see the light of day...but this is an American President so it's ok. John Hinkley shot President Reagan so he could meet movie star Jodie Foster. I hope somebody doesn't try to imitate this movie so they think they can become a movie star.

Sept. 30, 2006, 9:10 a.m.Too bad it's not more real-life, they could show the secret machinations leading up to the phony Iraq war, the illegal warrantless wiretaps, the approved torture and detainment in Euro Prisons, the Halliburton & Big Oil scams, the loss of all our long standing Allies and for the grand finale.......drum roll.....the Impeachment hearings!

Sept. 30, 2006, 11:01 a.m.This one is really a conundrum. While I'm in favor of freedom of creativity and the press (and movies tend to fall under this) it's never a good idea to put ideas into peoples heads that could be used as a guide-list to violence.
The other bad thing about this post is that in every case where something is actively banned or protested, it increases the exposure of it. Salman Rushdie's book was 'ho-hum' until Muslims started burning it in protest, then it was an international best-seller. The movie, 'The Last Temptation of Christ' was barely known until it was picketed by protesters, then it became the 'must see' of the year. By bringing lots of attention to it, many protesters undo everything they attempted to accomplish; while those who want it seen carefully join the protest and shout the loudest to make certain it gets noticed.

Sept. 30, 2006, 12:14 p.m.What the hell is wrong with some of you people? To wish a man dead. That's just disgusting, you all should be ashamed. You don't have to like him but he is just a human being like everyone else no better no worse.

They aren't, though. Their partisanship has stripped them of their sense of shame, and their humanity.
If the shoe were on the other foot and someone did a film about Bubba or Peanuts getting offed, the hypocritical chorus of "hate speech" from them would be deafening

Sept. 30, 2006, 12:28 p.m.I am NOT a Republican but I do NOT support films like these. I agree that it will only serve to put the idea in someone's head to actually try it. I like suspense as much as the next guy but can't it be a fictional character?

Sept. 30, 2006, 12:29 p.m.Look, I have a sincere distaste for Bush and his entire administration. However, I don't want the man dead-- just OUT OF OFFICE living peacefully back home on the range and OUT OF GOVERNMENT and definitely OFF TELEVISION (I'm tired of diving for the mute button.)

Sept. 30, 2006, 12:42 p.m.One more thought and I'm done...
If George Bush had used grace and diplomacy when addressing other countries over the last 6 years then he would not be so hated by those abroad and they most likely would not have made a film like this.
However, as it stands, because of his "my way or the highway" approach to the world, he is not a liked person and there are no doubt many people worldwide that have fantasized about his being taken out.
His standing among his fellow citizens of the world is of his own making.

Sept. 30, 2006, 12:43 p.m.Anybody who instigates the death of a sitting President can and should be tried for national treason, which carries the death penalty.
